I started this space as an observer to a seemingly peaceful part of my life that was nature at its best and human nature at less than exemplary. I never thought I would end up at the center of a conflict. Yet that is were we as property owners now find ourselves. The city has decided to take part of our property for the purpose of dredging the ravine. We are not so happy. At the moment we are awaiting notice of action and will have to hire a lawyer.
The conduct of the city has been deplorable. No notices in advance, crisis mode in approaching us, not bringing us into the process at the beginning and most of all not making the necessary effort to study the problem with more intelligence and expertise before making plans. I will be careful with my comments for now- but I do plan to post updates, if for no other reason than exposing the way politicians and "leaders" handle civil issues. By now you know I don't think much of their ways...
p.s.- I really don't want to deal with this nonsense. I have no desire to "fight the man" or prove anything. But I am very pissed about being forced into a corner, bullied and used, when simple professional manner and some brains would have resolved this issue with less drama and conflict. How utterly stupid.
